Mission Statement
In the spirit of conservation, rehabilitation and sharing.
The Friends of Big Sandy Bay is a not-for-profit association of volunteers dedicated to the conservation, restoration and appreciation of the natural features of the Big Sandy Bay.
The goals of the organization are:
- To preserve, protect, and restore the flora and fauna of the Big Sandy Bay area of Wolfe Island, Ontario by organizing and participating in environmental projects;
- To educate and increase the public’s understanding of the importance of conserving the natural features of the Big Sandy Bay area by developing and offering educational and interpretative materials;
- To conduct research relating to the Big Sandy Bay area and to disseminate the results of such research to the public;
- To do all such other things as are incidental and ancillary to the attainment of the objects of the Friends of Big Sandy Bay Corporation.
