Parking

I am curious as to whether there are costs to park at the Bay - as your website did not indicate this information. If there is a cost to park, when is this charge applicable (as some friends and I wanted to watch the sunset on the Bay).

The Friends of Big Sandy Bay do not collect fees - fees are the responsibility of the Township of Frontenac Islands.

The Friends of Big Sandy Bay raise funds for its initiatives through membership fees and fundraising events.

To answer your question:
There is no parking fee, however an admission fee is charged during daylight hours throughout the operating season.

Sunsets may be enjoyed from the beach but please be sure to read the rules posted at the gatehouse before you enter the area. Be sure to bring a flashlight and some insect repellant for the walk back to the parking lot. As always, you would be using the trail at your own risk.
